A recent edition of Security Management, the magazine of ASIS, had a piece about legislation moving through UK Parliament. It said [the Bill].. "will also ban insurance companies from covering ransom payments...".

Does anyone know more about this, or have contacts in the UK who can perhaps shed some light as to where this is going?  Is it more complicated, and less 'black and white' than the article makes out?

I haven't read the article yet and wouldn't call myself an expert on this, but I just attended an excellent conference recently cosponsored by the Unity Resources Group and HCC. Either of these companies can shed some light on the subject. Do you have a link to the article? I'd like to read it.

Blake - I don't know if a soft copy exists, but the short piece I read was in the March issue of Security Management, an ASIS International publication.
