Interns are vital contributors to INSSA’s commitment to improving the quality and effectiveness of safety and security for humanitarian relief and development assistance workers operating in complex and dangerous environments around the world.

Interns work closely with the Board of Directors, Program Managers, and other members of the NGO security community in the development of INSSA’s four main programming areas: Advocacy, Collaboration, Education & Professional Development, Standardization. They conduct important research, project activities, and logistical support including media monitoring; writing for publications, issue briefs, INSSA’s newsletter and blog; drafting proposals for fundraising efforts; and, event management. Interns are also encouraged to pursue their own research projects and to write and publish their own policy briefs or blog posts.
