The Price of Anything

A Public Awareness Campaign Supporting Aid Workers And Human Rights Defenders

This project proudly supports World Humanitarian Day (19 August)

This project is made possible by grants from:

The campaign’s desired impact includes (1) significantly raising public awareness and the profile of aid worker security, (2) increasing the amount of appropriate security management resources available to aid workers and human rights defenders, and (3) influencing and mobilizing special interest groups into pursuing issues of accountability, compliance and responsibility.

Multi-media outputs will be made available to support international events, and learning & development programs. Please share these resources within your professional networks.

This project aims to produce a donor-funded documentary film to help stimulate debate and motive a collective effort in response to insecurity. To date we have recorded over 20 hours of interviews with aid workers, researchers and academics, who share their expertise and opinions on safety and security in the aid sector.

Video messages will be periodically upload to the Humanitarian Policy YouTube channel. These videos will include practitioner perspectives regarding safety and security challenges. Please take a moment to view these messages and leave your comments on the channel.

The Price of Anything is a not-for-profit public awareness and advocacy campaign. Development funding has been gratefully received by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, the International NGO Safety & Security Association (INSSA), and RedR UK. Many others have pledged their support and provided assistance.
