Leaders who assume primary or secondary responsibilities for risk, resiliency and business continuity for a department, activity or location are often required to become professionals within a new profession. Whether a member of a Local Incident Management Team, or the Crisis Management Leadership Team – or in support of these teams, having the knowledge, skills and confidence to support risk, resiliency and business continuity management is critical. This program is aimed at the following audiences: 1) senior management staff with designated strategic and operational risk management responsibilities – and with an emphasis on those responsible for safety and security risk management, within overall enterprise risk management; and 2) senior management staff with designated business continuity management responsibilities, and so responsible for preparedness and planning of incident and crisis response and management activities, and their implementation to minimize the impact of disruptive risk events to organizational continuity and survivability. The development program focuses on fundamental dimensions of the roles and responsibilities these individuals have, and how they interact with other critical stakeholders (whether internal or external).
